Thank you for your interest in the Country Dreams radio show!
WHAT WE ARE
We are a weekly, two-hour Country music show from Nashville that plays todays hottest hits, yesterdays classic favorites, all wrapped around the best independent artists that may be tomorrows big stars.
Our show includes the great talent that usually doesn't get played on the radio, plus our "Jukebox Oldie" classic country songs, as well as tunes from our Top 20 Chart and artist interviews from podcaster Kyle Corbliss. We also have our Songwriters Corner, highlighting independent songs available to be cut. Our Indie Showcase features one up-and-coming artist each week. Plus we feature a country song from Australia or Europe occasionally. Also a song to celebrate our truckers. So our show has a little something for everyone!
We've found that contemporary country fans like hearing music "that is so new it's still in diapers", and that allows your station to truthfully say, "we have the newest country music anywhere".
Classic country fans like the more traditional stuff, and a few of todays hot new independents are carrying on that tradition. Plus some of the country legends are releasing brand new music that a lot of listeners don't even know about. Country music doesn't need to be segregated, we prove it all sounds great side by side.

WHO WE ARE
Al Shephard Producer & Host
Al started this journey in 2009 hosting various shows at WBTN-AM in Vermont.
In 2010, Al threw out the idea that he and Ronnie Lee Hurst should host a new show devoted to independent country artists and singer/songwriters, and Country Dreams was born. On January 1st, 2011, Al founded the Independent Country Music Association (ICMA) to further promote the indie country artists, and he moved to Nashville in 2012. The show went on hiatus in 2013. In 2025, Al decided it was time to bring it back!
